Zenith puts the spotlight on women in Dubai

The show dedicated to the new creations of the LVMH Group brands - Bulgari, TAG Heuer, Hublot and Zenith - and reserved for international partners and retailers opened yesterday in Dubai. Among Zenith's flagship models is the Defy Midnight intended for women. A jewel-watch with a sport-chic character, it features a very special celestial dial, enclosed in a 36 mm steel case set with brilliant-cut diamonds: available in deep blue or grey, it boasts polished finishes with a vertical gradient effect that adds great depth and depicts a representation of the night sky above the infinite horizon, where the dark vastness of space gives way to the glow of the stars. A reference to Zenith's starry vault, the brand's emblematic facetted star is the highest and brightest point in the painted night sky. Completing the celestial landscape are stars of different sizes, some of which glow in the dark. A third version of the dial in white mother-of-pearl with a vertical gradient effect recalls the lunar glow of a cloudy night. The hour markers are set with white diamonds, except at 3 o'clock where the date window is located. Animated by the manufacture automatic Elite movement with star-shaped oscillating weight, the Defy Midnight watch offers a 50-hour power reserve. Completing its look is an assortment of alternating bracelets and straps: the steel bracelet, as well as a selection of coloured satin and leather straps with rubber lining, are interchangeable thanks to the special mechanism integrated directly into their inner parts, without the need for any special tools or expertise. The new models are housed in a special case with three extra coloured straps and an interchangeable folding clasp.
