After a very long period of absence, golf will be included among the Olympic disciplines at the 2016 Rio Games (its last participation dates back to 1904). Omega, official Olympic timekeeper and partner of the most important international golf events, wanted to pay tribute to this event by making a new TV commercial. The protagonist is Spanish champion Sergio Garcia, intent on hitting a shot from the tee of the Crans-Montana golf course, the annual venue for the Omega European Masters. The camera follows the trajectory of the ball across Europe, other continents and then the ocean, as surprised spectators look up to watch it pass over their heads. The ball reaches South America and lands on a green in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where it rolls into the hole. The words 'After more than a century, golf returns to the Olympic Games' appear on the screen. The last image is of the famous Omega logo.
