Cartier revisits the Tank Asymétrique, a watch launched in 1936 and also known at the time as the Parallélogramme or Losange. Today, as then, its original rectangular shape has been transformed into a lozenge: the 12 occupies the upper right-hand corner of the case, the 6 is on the opposite side; Arabic numerals shifted by 30° replace the Roman numerals, but only the even numbers appear, separated by hourmarkers. In the current model, the numerals and indices have been entirely redesigned. The slender case houses the manufactory-made 1917 MC movement, a hand-wound mechanical movement. The watch is available in rose gold with a grey dial and strap, in yellow gold with a champagne dial and brown strap, and finally in platinum with a silver-coloured dial, ruby cabochon and grey strap. The custom-made bracelets are equipped with a pin buckle. For each version, the watches are offered in a limited and numbered edition of 100.
