Bulgari - New Daniel Roth models

Bulgari Daniel Roth Grande Lune
Bulgari Daniel Roth Grande Lune

The Daniel Roth collection of Bulgari is enriched with two new references: the Grande Lune and the Chronographe Papillon. The former displays the astronomical moon through a lunar star coated in fine gold and placed on the celestial vault, which is revealed through an asymmetrical aperture in which the seconds display appears. The latter is indicated by a hand with three arms of different lengths, each rotating on its own axis, covering three 20-second segments respectively, a distinctive feature of the Bulgari Roth collection. On the dial, the date hand stands out against a circular graduated counter. The moon cycle and date functions are corrected by the two correcting pushers on the side of the elegant elliptical pink gold case. Providing the various functions is the DR2300 calibre, a Frédéric Piguet mechanical hand-wound Lépine type, complemented by a complication module exclusive to Daniel Roth and decorated entirely by hand. On the elegant duoplan dial, white lacquer contrasts with the satin-finished surface treated with black gold. Hands and hourmarkers are treated in 18-carat rose gold. It is completed by an alligator leather strap with a pin buckle also made of rose gold. The Chronographe Papillon, on the other hand, ensures the reading of short time periods: the minutes, in the centre of the dial, are indicated by means of a mechanical device placed on a supporting disc that completes a complete 360 degree rotation in two hours and bears two rotating, independent diamond-shaped hands that run in turn along a 180 degree segment, graduated from 00 to 60 minutes. On the multi-level dial, the two chronograph counters, graduated to 12 hours and 30 minutes respectively, stand out at 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock. The central chronograph seconds hand, on the other hand, is at 6 o'clock, a position that allows the hour window to remain perfectly visible. The functions are entrusted to the DR2319 calibre, entirely in-house: this is a mechanical chronograph movement with column wheel, vertical coupling and automatic winding signed Frédéric Piguet, also complemented here by a complication module and housed inside a pink gold case with a double ellipse. Here, too, the duoplan dial is made of white lacquer alternating with a satin-finished surface treated in black gold. The strap is made of alligator leather with a pink gold triple-blade folding clasp.
