Breitling confirmed its participation in the 60th Genoa Boat Show i(which took place from 1 to 6 October) as Official Watch, marking the time of the event with its timepieces. 2020 was a special year for the Boat Show: it celebrated its 60th anniversary and Breitling accepted the organisers' invitation by celebrating this anniversary with a limited edition watch on sale exclusively at the event, the Superocean Aautomatic 44. The Superocean collection represents one of Breitling's best-loved and most appreciated watch families for its diving performance. With its elegant yet sporty design and excellent performance, the Superocean is perfect for every wrist and every environment, for water sports enthusiasts but also for those who prioritise design. Sporty and colourful, the Superocean Automatic 44 was conceived for those in search of a sporty watch that combines high performance with contemporary style. For this edition of the event, Breitling wanted to personalise the watch by producing a limited series of only 60 pieces featuring a caseback engraved with the 60th anniversary logo. The steel case has a diameter of 44 mm and is water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres. Inside beats the Breitling calibre 17, mechanical with automatic winding and chronometer-certified by the COSC. The watch was presented in the Breitling VIP Lounge at the Boat Show. Opposite it is the Breitling Theatre, which for the duration of the Boat Show will be the venue for meetings, round tables, shows and conferences, all related to the theme of boating, the sea and environmental sustainability.
