The exhibition for the 100th anniversary of Rosas 1945

From Monday, 26 October, the celebratory exhibition 'Cento Anni da Rosas 1945' (One Hundred Years at Rosas 1945) will kick off, scheduled until 8 November at the Nuoro railway station and dedicated to the centenary of the Rosas jewellery store, which opened its doors with its founder in 1920. A long century of history - from the Lateran pacts of 1929 up to the current Covid-19 emergency - retraced through the blow-ups of some of the pages of the island's two most authoritative newspapers, La Nuova Sardegna and L'Unione Sarda, and their temporary 'spin-offs', exhibited in a special hall in the station. Alongside them are also images from the period, many of them previously unpublished. One of the peculiarities of this exhibition, which takes its name from Rosas 1945, the shop run by Fabio and Marco Rosas (father and son) and their respective wives, Piera and Arjola, is the type of 'narration' of the events that took place, which is intertwined with those of the island's chronicle of the last hundred years. The main actors for its organisation are some of the most important names in the luxury sector for which Rosas 1945 is a dealer, alongside brands from the insurance and finance fields. After Nuoro, the exhibition - curated by Stefano Ferri, journalist, author of historical novels and communication expert - will stop in Sassari, Cagliari, Milan and Rome until the end of 2021. During the opening ceremony, the 100th piece of the precious pen created by Montegrappa, commissioned by Fabio Rosas, to celebrate Nobel Prize winner Grazia Deledda, and printed in only one hundred numbered examples, will be presented to journalist and writer Elvira Serra, a leading figure of the Corriere della Sera, who will also be the patroness of the event. From 26 October to 8 November, the exhibition will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
