De Bethune - DB28GS 'Yellow Submarine'

De Bethune presents the new DB28GS "Yellow Submarine", characterised by the use of an amber-coloured titanium case with a zirconium case middle (44 mm diameter). This new watch, produced in a limited edition of only 25 pieces, is water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres and has a unidirectional rotating bezel with a sapphire disc. The dial, exposed to the movement, offers hour and minute indications, as well as a power reserve display at 9 o'clock. In addition, the new DB28GS "Yellow Submarine" is equipped with a special system for illuminating the dial itself, which is done by means of a device based on the dynamo principle. By means of the pusher located at 6 o'clock on the case, in fact, a gear train driven by the two barrels is activated. This gear train (a miniature dynamo) generates the energy needed to illuminate the dial and the movement. The latter, a hand-wound mechanical movement, is the IWC-manufactured DB2080 calibre (400 components, 51 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour), equipped with a double barrel and a power reserve of no less than 5 days, and also visible from the back.
