Jaquet Droz wears red

SW Steel-Ceramic, where SW stands for Sport Watch, is the new Jaquet Droz watch in a beautiful red colour. The hand-worked fabric strap is made in this hue and thus echoes the tip of the seconds hand at 6 o'clock, that of the hour and minute hands, as well as the quarters, all made of SuperLuminova. Between the Roman numerals, there are three Arabic numerals - 5, 6 and 7 - cleverly dyed red and positioned at the crossroads of the two sub-dials on a black lacquered dial. Below these, between 3 and 9 o'clock, two horizontal appliqués run across the imposing 45 mm steel case, enhancing the famous "8" drawn by the sub-dials themselves. The fluted bezel is in black ceramic and the crown, screwed in at 3 o'clock and with rubber inserts, is enclosed in a large protective "griffe", also present at 9 o'clock, to ensure maximum shock resistance. On the caseback, beneath the anti-reflective sapphire crystal, lies the heart of the JD2663A-S self-winding mechanical movement, featuring ruthenium treatment, a double barrel and an 18-carat grey gold skeletonised oscillating weight guaranteeing a power reserve of almost three days (68 hours). Its surfaces are covered with different finishes - polished, satin-finished or adorned with the côtes de Genève motif - and embellished with an individual serial number on the sides, on the back of each watch.
