Appointment with Il Ponte Auction House

ROLEX SUBMARINER
Ref. 5513

Tomorrow, 12 November, the auction of wrist and pocket watches organised by Il Ponte Casa d'Aste will take place in the rooms of Palazzo Crivelli in Milan. Timeless style icons will be on sale: a steel Rolex Submariner from 1982 and the Patek Philippe Nautilus in gold and steel, designed by Gérald Genta in 1976. Genta's unmistakable hand is also present in the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch, 1980s, with its octagonal bezel and tapisserie dial. Among the chronographs, the Rolex 2508 Chrono from the 1930s, which, with its two counters and three-part case with snap-in case back, marked an important transition from the models derived from pocket watches, characterised instead by a case with a hinged case back. Synonymous with preciousness is the men's Patek Philippe with perpetual calendar, self-winding movement calibre 240/114, and the Frank Muller, also for men, with a guilloché dial and perpetual calendar, a special edition produced in only 100 pieces. Finally, the sale is completed by a wide selection of the best-known international watch brands, including Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, Piaget, Omega, Bulgari, IWC, Longines and Zenith. Obviously, following the Dpcm of last 3 November, participation will only be online, by telephone and by written commission. For all information and to participate: ponteonline.com.
