Seiko - King Seiko KSK

In this 2021 Seiko celebrates the 140th anniversary of its founding, and does so by presenting a re-edition of a model from the 1960s, the King Seiko. Specifically, this watch was launched in 1961, at a time of great progress for the Japanese company. In 1965, the King Seiko KSK was presented, powered by a hand-wound mechanical movement with 25 jewels and which marked a turning point in terms of its design. The KSK's case was in fact sculpted and angular, contrasting with the delicate contours of the 1961 King Seiko, giving it an exquisitely contemporary touch. The 2021 edition of the King Seiko KSK harks back to the 1965 model down to the smallest details, such as the flat dial, facetted hour markers (as well as the lugs, polished in the Zaratsu technique) and sharp hands. The watch, equipped with a 38.1 mm diameter by 11.4 mm thick steel case, is fitted with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and is water-resistant to a pressure of 5 atmospheres. It is powered by the calibre 6L35 (26 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 45-hour power reserve), a self-winding mechanical movement. The new King Seiko KSK is produced in a limited series of 3,000 pieces (the progressive number of the limited edition is engraved on the screw-down case back).
Price: 3,400 euro.
