Longines Avigation BigEye in titanium

Throughout its history, Longines has been able to create timepieces capable of spanning the ages. Such as The Longines Avigation BigEye, a re-edition of a 1930s chronograph, which now comes in a titanium version with a petrol blue dial. This timepiece, characterised by the high legibility of its dial and its oversized chronograph minute counter (hence the name "BigEye"), is in the grand tradition of pilot's watches. This new version, powered by a chronograph movement with silicon balance spring, also benefits from a five-year guarantee. Since the beginning of the 20th century, Longines has actively participated in the "conquest of the skies". Today, the winged hourglass brand is presenting a new interpretation of The Longines Avigation BigEye, a tribute to the golden age of aviation and its pioneers. The Longines Avigation BigEye houses a column-wheel chronograph movement (calibre L688, with a 54-hour power reserve) inside a 41 mm-diameter titanium case. As mentioned above, it is also equipped with a silicon balance spring to ensure high precision and greater resistance to magnetic fields. True to the spirit of pilot's watches, The Longines Avigation BigEye is also characterised by its great readability. The grené and petrol-blue shaded dial, on which the sand-blasted black hands and SuperLuminova-coated Arabic numerals stand out, displays the small seconds at 9 o'clock, the chrono hour counter at 6 o'clock and the oversized chrono minute counter at 3 o'clock. The sapphire box crystal with multi-layered anti-reflective treatment on both sides and the engraved screw-down back are further proof of the high technical content of this model. The new declination is completed by a natural brown leather strap with a vintage look. Price: 3,290 euros.
