A new entry for Audemars Piguet

For the first time, the House of Le Brassus introduces black ceramic in the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet collection. It is the octagonal case middle set in the white or pink gold used for the cases of the two new automatic chronographs. For its creation, the Maison turned to Bangerter, a Swiss company still run by the founding families, which specialises in the production of precision components made of advanced ceramics, tungsten carbide and other materials of particular hardness. Both models are adorned with a dark grey smoky dial with a vertical satin motif, matching the refined satin finish that decorates the case; white or pink gold hour markers and hands add a touch of luminosity to the ensemble. The watches use Calibre 4401, an integrated in-house movement with a column wheel and flyback function that allows the chronograph to be restarted without first stopping or resetting it. With a 70-hour power reserve, it showcases the collection's characteristic 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight and other elegant decorations such as côtes de Genève, traits tirés and circular grain through the sapphire crystal on the back. The black calfskin strap is rubber-coated and finished with an embossed motif; it is integrated with the skeleton lugs, which have been soldered to the ultra-thin bezel.
