H. Moser & Cie. - Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept X second/second/

In 2015, H. Moser & Cie. decided to emphasise minimalism to the point of suppressing the logo on its Concept dials, making its sobriety and smoky colours its sole distinguishing feature. Encouraged by the enthusiasm it aroused, the company asked seconde/seconde/ to reinterpret this approach with a new concept watch. The result, decidedly nonconformist, can be seen in foo: a coloured and pixelated eraser-shaped hand replaces the hour hand. Sharing with seconde/seconde/ the same taste for the unexpected, Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., appreciates the modern and artistic touch that seconde/seconde has brought to this creation: "By adding an element of rupture, seconde/seconde upsets an established aesthetic, causing a welcome contrast, which respects the elegance inherent in this model, playing on the same concept as our dials without logos or indices". According to the Parisian artist: "The 'hand swap' - i.e. the principle of changing one or more hands on an existing watch - has become my defining characteristic and is driven by an urge for irreverence. I upset a balance, break a harmony. I bring this dissonance to confuse the product, to deconstruct it and reconstruct it later, to reveal an unknown side or show another perspective. My perspective. The rubber, in this case, I see it as an insignificant everyday object that takes over from the object of prestige and exception. It is also a metaphor for erasure and minimalism - both notions dear to H. Moser & Cie. - but also of the continually renewed effort, of these fruitless, often hidden attempts, which erase it a thousand times before solving this equation, before completing the work. In order to find, one must make mistakes and therefore delete often'. Behind its apparent simplicity, the Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept conceals several bicentennial skills. The watch uses a 40 mm steel case, inside which beats the HMC 200 calibre (27 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, power reserve of at least three days), a self-winding mechanical movement entirely designed and manufactured in-house. The Endeavour Centre Seconds Concept X second/second/ is being produced in a limited series of 20 and will be available exclusively on the H. Moser & Cie website. Each watch will be accompanied by an exclusively produced and numbered work of art by seconde/seconde/.
