Inauguration of the new Patek Philippe Space at Pisa Orologeria in Milan

Inaugurazione del nuovo Spazio Patek Philippe presso Pisa Orologeria a Milano

For some time now, we have become accustomed to shops that are more than just sales outlets; this is also thanks to Pisa Watchmakingwhich not more than six months ago surprised everyone by launching the Rolex Flagship Store. This time, too, the choice has fallen on a brand belonging to the watchmaking elite: Patek Philippe. The French architect Patrick Gaguesch, who recently oversaw the restyling of the Patek Philippe boutique in London and the salon on Rue du Rhône in Geneva, could not help but build a space entirely dedicated to the Swiss Maison's creations. In the premises in Via Verri, renovated drawing inspiration from the dictates of Art Deco and the most prestigious names in 1930s design, one is immersed in a warm and comfortable environment that immediately puts the customer at ease. This is thanks to the Indian rose, ebony and Birdseye maple furniture and display cabinets with inlaid motifs, upholstery, wrought iron, alabaster and upholstered leather, a mix of materials and colours that convey a pleasant sense of refinement and familiarity. Solutions that represent the perfect link between the philosophy of Pisa Orologeria, always devoted to good taste and attention to detail, and the perfectionism of Patek Philippe.

The opening of the new 'Patek Philippe Space' was also embellished by a very special surprise, the Calatrava Reference 5296 in a new commemorative and limited edition (25 pieces for each of the two versions in pink and white gold). Visitors who attended the inauguration event of the new space were able to admire the first examples of the Patek Philippe model, whose soul perfectly matches the spirit of the Pisa Orologeria shop. A symbol of the Manufacture not only because of its age - it was launched in 1932 at the height of that Art Deco period recalled by the headquarters in Via Verri - the Calatrava summarises in an exemplary manner the characteristics that, according to lovers of classy watchmaking, can never be lacking: traditional shape and dimensions, a dial with hours, minutes, seconds and date, and a mechanical movement with automatic winding of absolute value thanks to the calibre 324 S C. Hallmarks: Geneva hallmark. The sapphire crystal case back is engraved with 'Pisa Orologeria 2008 Limited Edition'. Sealing the unquestionable affinity between a great watch and what is set to become one of the favourite oases for aficionados of the world of hands.
