Cartier renews the Pasha

Since its launch in 1985, the Pasha de Cartier has been one of the most recognisable watches on the world watch scene, not least because of its celebrated crown cover set with a sapphire cabochon and chain. "The Pasha watch is not only a design, but also expresses an idea of strength and robustness. After all, at the time of its launch in 1985, the Pasha was received with great enthusiasm by an entire generation of opinion leaders. And that is still its strength today," saysPierre Rainero, Director of Image, Style and Heritage at Cartier. Re-proposed last year, the new Pasha de Cartier is enriched with refined details, functions and details that reinforce its design and optimise its ergonomics: interchangeable bracelets and straps, sapphire crystal caseback, new crown and personalised engraving. A true cult watch whose assortment is enriched this year by two new models, one for women with a 30 mm diameter case, the other for men in a chronograph version with a 41 mm case. The new Pasha in chronograph version is powered by the Manufacture Cartier 1904-CH MC movement (11½ lignes, 5.71 mm thick, 37 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 47-hour power reserve), mechanical with automatic winding and visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. With a steel or gold case, all versions are equipped with interchangeable bracelets/straps, thanks to the QuickSwitch system, whose invisible mechanism is integrated into the architecture of the case and activated by a simple pressure. Added to this is the precise adjustment of the links and thus the size of the metal bracelet without the use of additional tools, thanks to the SmartLink system. Cartier, as mentioned, also presented a new case size for the Pasha, 30 mm. In this version, the watch is powered by a quartz movement and features all the emblematic Pasha elements, from the personalised engraving of initials under the crown cover to the interchangeable bracelets and straps. In steel, gold and diamond variants, all versions, as mentioned, feature interchangeable straps/bracelets, thanks to the QuickSwitch system. Finally, all owners of the Pasha de Cartier receive an invitation to register their watch on the Cartier Care platform, thereby gaining access to personalised communications and services. Customers who sign up for the programme while their watch is still under warranty may also benefit from an extension of the Cartier international warranty, from 2 to 8 years. This guarantee includes full service, water-resistance testing, battery replacement and repair of the metal bracelet, according to timelines set by the Maison.
