Audemars Piguet Opens Exhibition
'Extraordinary Friendships'

Audemars Piguet inaugurates a new temporary exhibition entitled "Extraordinary Friendships" at the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus, Switzerland. Part of the museum's guided tour, this exhibition will take visitors on an interactive journey to discover some of the most enduring friendships and partnerships that have marked the history of Audemars Piguet. The exhibition is open until 17 December 2021. Since its inception, Audemars Piguet has constantly turned its gaze beyond Haute Horlogerie in search of inspiration, particularly towards the universes of pop culture, sports, art and the entertainment industry. Over the years, the brand has developed interdisciplinary collaborations with various celebrities and athletes. These partnerships have not only acted as sources of inspiration, but have also promoted the creation of innovative designs and masterpieces of micro-mechanical precision in Audemars Piguet timepieces. They have also provided the brand with distinctive and inspiring ways to share its core values through the language of emotions. This interactive exhibition presents nine talented personalities who have contributed to the brand's worldwide fame. Of particular interest are the T-800, the mythical robot from the Terminator films, which embodies the long-standing friendship between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Audemars Piguet, the recipes of 3-Michelin-starred chef Emmanuel Renault, and a reproduction of a dressing room with some of Serena Williams' personal belongings. The exhibition design combines interactivity with interdisciplinarity to bring visitors closer to the origins of Audemars Piguet's relationships. Guests are given an active role in initiating each friendship story, by operating a music box, demonstrating their golfing skills or testing their culinary talents. An interactive photo booth that concludes the visit turns the spotlight on visitors, inviting them to contribute to the Audemars Piguet family album. The temporary exhibition is included in the guided tour of the Musée Atelier, which opened its doors to the public in June 2020. In addition, Audemars Piguet announces the launch of its first public and immersive Masterclass, entitled 'Crack History's Code'. The four-and-a-half-hour experience includes a guided tour of the Musée Atelier and is designed to take visitors on an exclusive journey to discover the secrets of Haute Horlogerie. By immersing themselves in the Audemars Piguet universe, guests will get to know the infinite details that transform a functional object into a work of art. The Musée Atelier offers a unique perspective on the Vallée de Joux and its watchmaking history with the exhibition of some 300 timepieces representing more than two centuries of craftsmanship. Limited to four participants and available by appointment only, the Masterclass "Crack History's Code" will allow guests, whatever their level of experience, to assemble one of the historical Manufacture movements of a watch, under the guidance of a master. Participants will also test themselves with the finest decorations on a piece created especially for the occasion, which they will be able to take home as a souvenir. This immersive journey into the heart of Haute Horlogerie will thus enable guests to decipher the complex savoir-faire that Audemars Piguet passes down from generation to generation. To book your participation in the Thursday afternoon Masterclass (available in French, German and English), please connect to the site www.museeatelier-audemarspiguet.com.
