The Longines Heritage Classic

Following the success of the model with a silvered dial launched in 2019, Longines is now offering a new version of The Longines Heritage Classic, with a black dial with sectors. The latter is matt in the central zone and anthracite-coloured with a brushed finish in the area of the hour-markers, which are bar and Arabic numerals. The small seconds dial at 6 o'clock, on the other hand, is guilloché engraved with a filets circulaires motif. The 39.5 mm steel case houses the L893 calibre (based on ETA A31.501, 11 1/2 lignes, 26 jewels, 25,200 vib/h, power reserve of approximately 72 hours), a self-winding mechanical movement equipped with a silicon balance spring. The box-type sapphire crystal has a multilayer anti-reflective treatment. Water-resistance is guaranteed up to 3 atmospheres of pressure. The Longines Heritage Classic is available with a cognac-coloured leather strap with a "pull-up" effect (the colour changes with use, making each one unique) or with a "rice-grain" steel bracelet, which alternates polished and satin-finished links. On this subject, Matthias Brescjhan, CEO of Longines, said: "Until now, with very few exceptions, we have always combined our historical watches with leather straps. This time we have chosen a rice-grain motif. It is a very high quality mesh that dates back to the 1940s and perfectly matches the design of the dial, as well as being very supple and comfortable to wear." The watch is covered by a five-year warranty.

Suggested retail prices: 1,950 euros (with leather strap); 2,160 euros (with steel bracelet).
