The new clock is made for Radio Italia TCM in a limited series of 50. The first example was presented to Giorgia during her visit to the radio studios on the occasion of the episode of 'RADIOITALIALIVE' dedicated to her, broadcast on Friday 16 January at 9 p.m. and Saturday 17 January 2009 at 6 p.m. on SKY channel 712.
This is the beginning of a collaboration that will see as its next steps the serial production of the Radio Italia clock and many other initiatives that will link TerraCieloMare to Italian music and this broadcaster.
The watch has a 316L steel case 47 mm in diameter with a dial featuring a vintage microphone emblem and symbol of radio. The movement is mechanical with manual winding, Unitas 6498 Swiss Made. On the back is the symbol of Guglielmo Marconi, the inventor of the radio: it is a rhombus-shaped antenna, with the date commemorating the first radio signal, while on the outermost band is the founding date of Radio Italia solomusicaitaliana.
