Glashütte Original
PanoInverse Limited Edition

For over 10 years, the PanoInverse has been one of the flagship models within the Glashütte Original production. Now, the German watchmaker is launching a very exclusive version of it, characterised by the use of platinum for the 42 mm case and the folding clasp that fastens the dark grey Louisiana crocodile strap. The new PanoInverse - Limited Edition in platinum is a very special interpretation of an original idea, which is to turn the spotlight on the beauty of the movement from the dial side. To this end, numerous components (which are usually only visible through the case back), have been assembled in reverse order, and various components and assemblies have been developed from scratch. On the dial side, then, there is the IWC-manufactured 66-09 calibre (28,800 vibrations per hour, power reserve of around 41 hours), a hand-wound mechanical movement with its typical guilloché-engraved ¾ plate, blued screws and several rubies housed in gold bezels. The hour and minute display is off-centred on the left-hand side, thanks to an anthracite-coloured sub-dial with small seconds at 6 o'clock. Around 2 o'clock is the power-reserve indicator, while the balance-spring (with compensating screws) is visible at 4 o'clock. Both the dial and the back are protected by a sapphire crystal. Finally, it is worth mentioning that the three-quarter plate has a guilloché motif that echoes, in glass and steel, the characteristic "relief style" motif that distinguishes the dome of the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts.
