Audemars Piguet - Code 11.59
Skeletonised Tourbillon

Audemars Piguet presents a new variant of the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Tourbillon Skeleton, whose hand-finished skeleton movement features different shades of grey and is housed in a two-tone 41 mm case, which combines 18-carat white and rose gold. This gold combination further emphasises the facets of the case while providing an elegant contrast. The two-tone case also emphasises the complex architecture of the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet collection. The flat bezel, stylised lugs and round back, all made of 18-carat white gold, contrast with the octagonal 18-carat rose gold case middle. Each component has been hand-finished down to the smallest detail, with alternating satin-finished and polished bevels. The technical complexity lies in achieving perfect alignment through the multitude of angular and rounded surfaces of the case, an aesthetic that can only be achieved by hand. The watch is powered by a skeleton movement with a calibre 2948 tourbillon (diameter 32.25 mm, thickness 3.65 mm, 196 components, 19 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve), mechanical with manual winding. The slate-grey skeletonised mainplate and bridges are illuminated by a pink gold balance and a light grey skeletonised barrel and gear train. The main plate and bridges, visible on both sides of the watch, are decorated with vertical satin finishes. In addition, the barrel and the various wheels are embellished with a circular satin finish. The slate grey lacquered flange enhances the skeleton movement and accentuates the subtlety of the bezel, barely visible around the dial. Finally, the double-curved sapphire crystal, which perfectly integrates the bezel, embellishes the design of the watch.
