Hamilton's new Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph combines the tradition of the original military watch with the bold design and sporty functionality of a modern chronograph. This is achieved by the use of a 44-millimetre diameter case in steel with a sandblasted finish and a black dial punctuated by raised hour markers and luminescent hands for optimal legibility even in the dark. The military look is accentuated by the use of a double khaki-green Nubuck leather strap with a steel pin buckle, reminiscent in style of that originally worn by soldiers to protect their wrists from the extreme heat. The chronograph functions are arranged as follows: hours at 6 o'clock, minutes at 12 o'clock, continuous seconds at 9 o'clock and chrono seconds in the centre by means of a red-tipped hand. It is equipped with the H-21 calibre, a mechanical self-winding movement with a power reserve of no less than 60 hours. Equipped with anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a water-resistance rating of 100 metres, the Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph is on sale for €1,645.
