Romain Gauthier - Continuum Titanium Edition One

Founded in 2005, Romain Gauthier bears the name of its founder, born in 1975. The House, which in 2013 triumphed with the Logical One at the GPHG in the Complicated Men's Watch category, is distinguished by its highly recognisable style, characterised by an excellent quality of finish and the constant search for innovative solutions. On these pages, here is the latest addition to the Gauthier family, the Continuum Titanium Edition One, whose name is intended to underline the common thread linking the watches produced over time by the Swiss watchmaker. The Continuum is characterised by the use of grade 5 titanium for the case, bezel, back, dial and movement bridges. The bezel and back are distinguished by a very distinctive design with indentations and surfaces with a polished and satin finish. On the dial, one can see the off-centre hour and minute hands made of white gold, as well as the Arabic numeral hour markers, all subjected to a luminescent treatment with SuperLuminova. At 7 o'clock are the continuous seconds, with red bars every five units. The movement used (32.1 mm in diameter, 5.5 mm thick, 154 components, 24 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour), manufactured by the manufactory, is mechanical with manual winding and is characterised by the presence of 3 "finger bridges" (a typical construction in the history of movements produced in the Vallée de Joux), as mentioned, made of grade 5 titanium, and guarantees a 60-hour power reserve. The watch is fitted with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal to protect both the dial and the back and has a total weight of just 55 grams. Water-resistant to 5 atmospheres of pressure, the Continuum Titanium Edition One by Romain Gauthier is paired with a rubber strap with a grade 5 titanium pin buckle.
