Microbrand - In the sprint with Bravur

Scandinavian design with its clean lines and respect for the principle of 'form follows function' has inspired so many brands that have emerged over the last ten years, to the point of becoming one of the benchmarks in the field of aesthetics. The Swedish brand Bravur, founded in 2011, fits right into the minimalist current thanks to a production that revolves around models with an essential style and meticulous details. The Scandinavia and BW300 (solotempo with date display at 6 o'clock) and Geography (GMT with second time zone hand in the centre) collections play on the different combinations of colours and finishes, while the newborn Grand Tour collection is composed of three chronographs that, while maintaining a sober and vintage look, in line with the rest of the catalogue, stand out for their use of unusual and well-balanced colours. The three models dedicated to the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France and the Vuelta have a 38.2 mm steel case, resistant to 10 atmospheres, with domed crystal and sapphire case back and are powered by the Sellita SW 511b automatic calibre, with 62 hours of power reserve. "My partner Johan Sahlin and I were adversaries when we raced mountain bikes," says co-founder Magnus Äppelryd. "Then we found ourselves attending the same university, became friends and decided to launch our own brand, although it was not yet clear that it would be a watch brand." And how did the idea come about? "When I was looking for a watch for myself, I realised that many brands focus on extreme complications and are inspired by the world of cars or aeronautics, often coming across as similar and homologated. So we decided to create our own brand with a clear and recognisable identity, a contemporary and urban style and, above all. good quality at an affordable price.
