Longines in vintage style

Building on the success of 2019, Longines offers a colour variation on the most emblematic model in the Heritage Classic collection, with its 1930s sector dial reminiscent of Ref. 2.828.4.73.2 from 1934. The distinctive dial furrowed by rays separating the 5-minute markers is presented in negative, with a black background and silver sectors. The finish is matt in the central zone and brushed in the index band, which is in a lighter shade of anthracite. The small seconds subdial, positioned at 6 o'clock, is guilloché engraved with a filets circulaires motif. The 39.5 mm by 11 mm thick steel case houses the L893 calibre (based on ETA A31.501, 11 1/2 lignes, 26 jewels, 25,200 vibrations per hour, power reserve of approximately 72 hours), a self-winding mechanical movement equipped with a silicon balance spring and specially developed for the Heritage line models. The box-type sapphire crystal, a most appropriate choice for this clearly vintage-inspired timepiece, undergoes a multilayer anti-reflective treatment. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 3 atmospheres of pressure. The Longines Heritage Classic Sector Dial is available with a cognac-coloured leather strap with a "pull-up" effect (the colour changes with use, making each one unique) or with a rice-grain steel bracelet, alternating polished and satin-finished links, a choice that goes against the grain of the past. Last but not least, it is covered by a five-year warranty.
In conclusion, the Heritage collection revisits models that have made the company's history, even bringing hints of modernity. The Sector Dial with a black dial is a welcome variation on the theme and is offered at a very attractive retail price, both in the version with a steel bracelet (€2,160) and in the one with a pull-up leather strap (€1,950).
