Mido - All Dial 20th Anniversary

Mido's All Dial collection first saw the light of day exactly 20 years ago, in 2002, and was inspired by one of the world's most famous monuments: the Colosseum. The inspiration from the famous Flavian Amphitheatre can be seen above all in the particular structure of the multi-layered anthracite dial, with luminescent hands and hour markers and with a date and day display in a window at 3 o'clock. The sandblasted texture of the dial is also a tribute to the Colosseum, recalling the thousand-year-old stones of the famous monument. Also noteworthy is the presence of sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment, inside and outside. Finally, the shape of the hour markers is intended as a tribute to the shape of the arches of the world's most famous amphitheatre. The 42 mm steel case is guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres, also thanks to the screw-down tightening of the case middle and back. On the latter, there is also the engraving of the Colosseum itself, as well as the progressive numbering relating to the limited edition of 2,022 pieces. The movement that animates this special edition of the All Dial is the Mido 80 calibre (based on ETA 2836-2, 11 ½'' diameter, 25 jewels, 38-hour power reserve), self-winding mechanical and chronometer-certified by the COSC. Very attractive and original is the design of the integrated steel bracelet, fitted with a folding clasp. The Mido All Dial 20th Anniversary is presented in a special box, inside which there is also a commemorative collector's medal. Given the limited edition, do you think it could make an interesting collector's model?
