Tonino Lamborghini: Italian design
and Swiss watchmaking expertise

Among the models that are part of the Tonino Lamborghini watch catalogue, a prominent place is certainly occupied by the Cuscinetto: it is in fact the first model launched in the brand's history by Tonino Lamborghini himself. The Cuscinetto collection is still part of the company's production and in this space we show you the Cuscinetto R (where the "R" stands for "Racing"), whose design is due to Fulvio Locci. The satin-finished titanium case measures 42 mm and is flanked by two bridges made of the same material: note also the positioning of the crown at 12 o'clock. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal reveals the Sellita calibre SW 200-1 (26 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 38-hour power reserve), a mechanical self-winding Swiss Made movement. The movement itself is also visible from the back side, thanks to the use of a smoked sapphire crystal. Next to the R-bearing is the Spyderleggero Chrono, with its special 51.5 x 46 mm shield-shaped construction consisting of a titanium bezel and back and a central body made of anti-corodal aluminium. The bezel and back are then secured with Torx screws. On the dial are the chronograph indications (seconds in the centre, minutes at 12 o'clock and hours at 6 o'clock), as well as the double date and day window at 3 o'clock. The movement that animates it is the Sellita calibre SW 500 BVa (25 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 48-hour power reserve), a Swiss Made automatic mechanical movement. Both models are guaranteed water-resistant to 10 atmospheres of pressure and are supplied with two interchangeable straps, one in leather with coloured stitching and rubber inserts and an additional one in single-colour black rubber.

Prices2,500 euros (Bearing R); 4,000 euros (Spydeleggero Chrono).
