Roger Dubuis - Excalibur Automatic Monobalancier

Did you know that all movements produced by Roger Dubuis are awarded the Geneva Seal? This prestigious quality recognition also applies to the new calibre RD720 SQ (170 components, 32 jewels, 5.95 mm thick, 28,800 vibrations per hour), a skeleton mechanical movement with automatic winding that animates the Excalibur Automatic Monobalancier, with a 72-hour power reserve. The same movement, visible from both the dial side and the caseback, is fitted with a rose gold and tungsten micro-rotor. In addition, the Maison, which is constantly seeking solutions to improve performance and precision, has doubled the inertia of the balance wheel to increase its stability and make it less sensitive to shocks. Similarly, to improve efficiency and energy transmission, the shape of the escapement wheel was optimised through diamond-coated silicon construction and the combination with silicon pallets (also diamond-coated), as well as a new lubricant. Both the hands (partially) and the indices are luminescent and made of rose gold. Pictured is the version with a 42 mm EON Gold case, water-resistant to 10 atmospheres and combined with a brown calfskin strap with Quick Release System.
