Cuervo y Sobrinos presents a new Historiador Doble Luna

Displaying the phases of the moon in the two hemispheres (north and south) is the Historiador Doble Luna from Cuervo y Sobrinos, an exquisitely vintage watch whose design is inspired by one produced by the Cuban watchmaker in the 1940s. In addition to the double moon phase display (at 6 o'clock), the beautiful anthracite dial engraved in guilloché with a clous de Paris motif also features the complete calendar indications, with the date hand in the centre, the month in a window at 3 o'clock and the day at 9 o'clock. Facetted Breguet hands are combined with Roman and geometric numeral hourmarkers, as well as the brand logo at 12 o'clock.

The watch is driven by the ETA-based CyS 6331 calibre (25.6 mm in diameter, 5.1 mm thick, 31 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 42-hour power reserve), a self-winding mechanical movement with a personalised and decorated rotor that is visible through the sapphire crystal on the case back. The sapphire crystal protecting the dial is also anti-reflective. Water-resistant to a pressure of 3 atmospheres, the Historiador Doble Luna is combined with a black Louisiana crocodile strap with a personalised folding clasp.

Price5,500 Swiss francs.
