A perpetual calendar from
40 mm for De Bethune

De Bethune produces a smaller 40 mm version of its DB25 perpetual calendar with a two-tone, silvered and blue guilloché dial.

De Bethune DB25 Perpetual Calendar

During the Geneva Watch Days, De Bethune presented a smaller version of its DB25 perpetual calendar. At 40 mm, four less than the previous variants (and that's quite a lot), the DB25sQP features a more compact case, which nonetheless retains the same drum design with integrated openworked lugs that give it greater lightness. The choice of metal has fallen on titanium, a material the company has already made extensive use of in recent times.

The downsizing of the case also entailed the development of a scaled-down, updated version of the original movement, which was reduced from 35 to 30 mm. The automatic DB2324V2 calibre, with its titanium and white gold oscillating weight and silicon escapement wheel, boasts a 5-day power reserve thanks to the use of a double barrel.

The two-tone dial, silvered and blue, features the same layout as the DB25 QP: day of the week and month in two windows at 9 and 3 o'clock, date hand at 6 o'clock and leap year at 12 o'clock together with De Bethune's signature spherical moon phase display in palladium and blued steel against a backdrop of a starry sky quilted with pink gold stars, guaranteeing great precision with a deviation of just one day every 122 years.

The classic style is underlined by the elegant decorations: the central guilloché expands with a 12-sector radial motif, framed by the Roman numeral ring. The strap is in blue alligator, but an additional strap in grey fabric is also provided. This is a limited edition of 15 pieces per year.

PriceCHF 125,000 (excluding tax).
