TAG Heuer and Porsche together again

The fruitful collaboration between Porsche and TAG Heuer, which was signed two years ago and has already led to the presentation of no fewer than six new models, continues.

Sixth creation for TAG Heuer and Porsche, following the partnership signed in February two years ago: a model that brings to the stage the timeless passion for motor racing shared by the two brands, and whose name once again refers to the legendary Carrera Panamericana of the 1950s and 1960s. A name that for more than 50 years has recalled both the legendary 911 and the TAG Heuer watch of the same name, launched in 1963, and therefore celebrating its first 60 years this year.

In the new Carrera Chronograph X Porsche Orange Racing, the colour combination of bright orange - reminiscent of the sparks the car generates on the tarmac and featured on the Porsche logo and tachymeter scale (both engraved and enamelled on the bezel), in the centre of the crown, on the dial and along the stitching of the strap - and black in various textures and finishes throughout the entire structure, starting with the 44 mm steel case with black DLC treatment, does not go unnoticed.

The performance is provided by the Heuer manufacture calibre 02 (168 components, 33 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve, column wheel), a self-winding mechanical movement with a personalised oscillating weight that pays homage to the Porsche steering wheel and reveals itself to view through the sapphire crystal back.

The bridges are decorated with côtes de Genève. The domed crystal protecting the dial is also sapphire and has undergone anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

Water-resistant to 10 atmospheres, this new TAG Heuer chronograph is combined with a black calfskin strap with carbon effect and a steel folding clasp with black DLC treatment, fitted with two safety pushers.

Price6,850 euro.
