Homage to Zermatt

For the fourth time, Hublot is celebrating its special relationship with Zermatt, an iconic ski resort in the Swiss Alps located at the foot of the Matterhorn, by producing two new models.

This is the fourth time that Hublot has celebrated its special relationship with Zermatt, the Swiss Alps ski resort perched at the foot of the Matterhorn, where one of its most typical boutiques is also based. To celebrate this anniversary, a new Big Bang chronograph version has been created with a case in steel, a material that the company had not used since 2018 and which restores the particular reflection of the slate of which the Matterhorn itself is largely made up.

Its depiction, as seen in Zermatt, is beautifully displayed on the grey plated dial with a sunburst finish. Accompanied by two nubuck straps, one slate grey and the other snow white, another tribute to the hues that dominate these parts, the men's model has a 44 mm case and is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre HUB4100.

The ladies' model also comes with two straps and employs a 41 mm steel case, enhanced by the presence of 36 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel. In this case, the movement used is the calibre HUB4300, also mechanical automatic.

Speaking about this collaboration, Ricardo Guadalupe (CEO of Hublot) said: 'Hublot and Zermatt, much more than a symbol. We share the same territory, the same roots, which we carry far beyond our borders. But I am convinced that what most distinguishes Hublot is its loyalty. The Big Bang Zermatt watches that we have been presenting since 2017 are a sign of this friendship, this authenticity that we share with collectors and fans of our brand."

Prices15,700 euros; 19,900 euros (version with diamonds on the bezel).
