Concord - C2 Chronograph

C2_0320141The look of the new Concord C2 exudes personality and contemporaneity from every pore. It may be the all-black case (in PVD-treated steel); it may be the large diameter of 43 millimetres; it may be the special tubular attachments that replace the more traditional lugs and perfectly integrate the strap with the case; it may be the three-part dial, also all black apart from the red of the central chrono seconds hand. The arrangement of the indications is perfectly structured: luminescent hour markers and hands offer optimal legibility, the additional tone-on-tone counters display the oversized chrono minutes at 9 o'clock, the chrono hours at 6 o'clock with the date window, and the small seconds indication at 3 o'clock by means of a small openwork disc. The peculiarity of the knights embracing and decorating the C1 bezel is here ideally echoed on the even-numbered hour markers, which are raised above the others and highlighted by a luminescent part.

The screw-down caseback is engraved with the C2 logo and conceals an automatic calibre, derived from the ETA 2894-2, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and with a 42-hour power reserve. The black rubber strap is interspersed with a central motif of vertical red lines (matching the aforementioned seconds hand), tapering from top to bottom, while the buckle is a three-blade folding clasp, also in PVD-treated steel. It is on sale for €5,900.
