Richard Mille sponsors the Grand Prix de Pau Historique

Richard Mille sponsor del Gran Prix de Pau Historique

Held over the weekend of 22, 23 and 24 May in Pau, capital of the Béarn, an ancient province and historical region in south-western France, and organised by Peter Auto, the Gran Prix de Pau Historique had as its main sponsor the prestigious watchmaking Maison Richard Mille. Its logo was everywhere: along the circuit, on the grandstands, in the paddock and of course on the hundred or so cars that took part in the competition. The winners were: Paddins Bowling, in the Trophée Lègende with his 1936 ERA; Stéphane Rey, in the Trophée Junior with a 1963 Lola Mk5; Jean-Marie Muller in the Brabham, in the Trophée Argentin; Arnaud Recede, in the Trophée des Pyrénées with a Lola T 540 E; and finally Jean-Pierre Lajounade in the Lotus Elan, in the Trophée Phil Hill. For motor racing fans, the next event has been set for 2011 and from then on will take place every two years.
