In addition to fashion and polo, the American designer Ralph Lauren is also known for his passion for the world of automobiles and has staked his cards on the French capital to exhibit his private collection to the public: seventeen examples in total can be admired from 28 April to 28 August 2011, in the splendid setting of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. The exhibition, entitled 'The Art of the Automobile. Masterpieces from the Ralph Lauren Collection', reviews sports, luxury and racing cars, all prestigious for speed, performance and beauty, designed by the greatest names - Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Porsche and Ferrari - illustrating the technological and aesthetic evolution of the automobile from 1929 to the early 1960s.
