The pen designed and used by Leonardo Da Vinci

A sensational achievement by a Roman craftsman, Amerigo Bombara, who, commissioned by RAI, has for the first time ever created a fountain pen that exactly reproduces the drawings found inside Leonardo Da Vinci's manuscripts. Once the ink is inserted into the nib and the upper part closed, the pen works and pages and pages can be written without interruption. The pen is on display in Leonardo Da Vinci's Machine Museum in Florence, Rome and China. The story of this creation was the subject of an episode of Superquark, which can be viewed on youtube from minute 6'28 to 9'00 by clicking on here.
