By pressing a button, the mechanism can be activated, stopped or synchronised with the official countdown.
1. START OF THE REGATTA
Press the start/stop button to activate the countdown. At the end of the countdown, the minute hand stops at 0; the second hand continues to run.
2. SYNCHRONIZATION (if necessary)
At the time of the official signal (audible or visual). Press the reset button. The minute hand resets to the nearest minute while the second hand returns to 0. The two hands restart automatically as soon as the button is released.
3. STOPPING THE COUNTDOWN
Press the start/stop button.
4. RESETTING THE COUNTDOWN
Make sure the countdown is not activated. Press the reset button. The minute hand returns to the minute programmed in the last setting and the second hand returns to 0. The countdown can now be activated again.
