Audemars Piguet continues its collection with 'Abruzzo in the Heart

Audemars Piguet continua la sua raccolta con “Abruzzo nel Cuore”

We had already told you about the "Abruzzo in the Heart"in favour of earthquake victims, set up by driver Jarno Trulli and supported by Audemars Piguet. After the charity evening held in Milan on 12 September, on the occasion of the Monza Grand Prix, it was the turn of Singapore. Here too, Jarno Trulli and Audemars Piguet organised a charity auction for Abruzzo in the heart.

All the Formula 1 teams supported the initiative by donating drivers' overalls and some of them directly intervened by donating their own helmets. In Singapore, the helmets of Trulli, Webber and Coulthard were auctioned off.

Audemars Piguet also created two unique pieces, two Royal Oak Offshore tourbillon chronographs with sandblasted titanium cases and backs personalised with the Abruzzo nel Cuore logo. The first with a black dial fetched €180,000 in Monza, the second, with a silver-plated dial, fetched €150,000 in Singapore.

In this way, thanks to the 300,000 euro raised in Monza, the 200,000 euro raised in Singapore and the donations received on the website, Abruzzo nel cuore has reached 650,000 euro, which will be used to fund a reconstruction project in Abruzzo.
