Montecristo is the name chosen for the new creation signed Locmana clear reference to one of the most inaccessible and wild islands of the Tuscan archipelago, the Island of Montecristo to be precise. The special feature of this model is that it is the first mechanical watch developed by the technicians and masters of the S.I.O., the Italian Watchmaking School founded by the House in 2006. The automatic movement, equipped with an oscillating weight made of a black PVD-coloured alloy, is visible through the sapphire glass porthole on the back. The large titanium and steel case, water-resistant to 10 atmospheres, houses a white or black dial with contrasting coloured finishes, enamelled with ceramic treatment and closed by a scratch-resistant flat mineral glass. The latter, fixed to the case by means of a nylon gasket, is fitted with a magnifying glass positioned on the date display to facilitate its reading. The watch, available both with an automatic movement and in a quartz chronograph version, also offered with a total black case, is fitted with a breathable rubber strap with a folding clasp, equipped with a device that allows the wearer to adjust the size by himself without having to go to a watchmaker or to the manufacturer.
