Victorinox Swiss Army - Alpnach Mechanical Chronograph Watches

So named because it was inspired by the Swiss Air Force's Alpine helicopter base that resembles the famous twin-rotor Cougar AS 532 helicopter, the Alpnach Mechanical Chronograph is currently the boldest chronograph from Victorinox Swiss Army. The large dial features counters highlighted in green, red or orange, like the Cougar's cockpit instruments, for enhanced functionality. The small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, accurate to ¼ of a second, is shaped like the Cougar's rotating blades - four blades instead of the usual two, to offer more precision and reliability in all weather conditions. The black PDV-treated crown and rotating countdown bezel are modelled like helicopter turbines to make them more practical. The reset button at 4 o'clock resembles the gear lever on the Cougar helicopter. At the heart of this watch is the ETA-Valjoux 7750 calibre self-winding mechanical movement, treated with black PVD, with an oscillating weight visible through a unique half-moon case opening, while the central part of the case back is embellished with the Swiss Air Force symbol. Price of the model in the photo (Special Edition, Ref. 251530): 1,995 euros.
