Da BaselWorld 2007: il marchio belga Elini

We got to know them in Basel and they seemed interesting. We are talking about the watches of the Belgian brand Elini, which was founded in 1989 as a jewellery manufacturer and later also ventured into watchmaking. Among the latest collections, the Square World 5 Time Zone is an imposing model with a large square case (50 x 50 millimetres), equipped with a self-winding ETA 2671 calibre mechanical movement, which drives the local time visible on the central dial, and four other quartz movements controlling the same number of time zones, indicated by the other four dials, positioned in the corners. The case is available with or without diamonds. The sporty yet elegant Genesis model, on the other hand, also combines an automatic movement (ETA 2671) and a quartz movement (901-001), the latter to control the second time zone displayed at 9 o'clock. The off-centre ceramic dial is distinctive, with Roman numerals and bar indices. The 46 millimetre diameter case combines steel and ceramic (for the bezel), but a rose gold model is also available. It is water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres. The smaller ladies' version (37 millimetres) features a more classic design for the mother-of-pearl dial, with diamond hour markers and second time zone at 6 o'clock. www.elini.com
