Jaeger-LeCoultre - L'Atmos Marqueterie in Boutique in Milan

For the duration of the 51st edition of the Milan Furniture Fair, which opened its doors today and ends on Sunday 22 April, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique in Milan will display the Atmos Marqueterie clock inspired by the masterpieces of Gustav Klimt, whose 150th anniversary of his birth falls this year. Crafted in marquetry from the finest woods, it works solely on the energy derived from the air, i.e. from changes in the temperature of the surrounding atmosphere. The secret is the adoption of an engine consisting of a capsule containing a mixture of gases that, in the same way as a mechanical lung, reloads the barrel at the rate of atmospheric fluctuations. To see it up close, just go to the Boutique, in Via Montanapoleone 1, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. non-stop, from today until Saturday 21 April.
