Lange's latest timepiece, the Odysseus, now comes in a new design, no longer in steel, but with a 40.5 mm diameter (by 11.1 mm thick) white gold case, combined with an integrated strap made of rubber or dark brown leather with grey stitching. This watch was ln 24 October 2019, exactly 25 years after Walter Lange and Günter Blümlein presented the first collection of the modern era, the Odysseus was designed to the more dynamic people who want to wear their Lange watch even in situations where they would normally forego wearing a mechanical precision watch. The multi-layered, guilloché-engraved grey dial offers day and large date displays (at 9 and 3 o'clock respectively), as well as small seconds at 6 o'clock. The Alpha hands and applied indexes are in white gold and luminescent. The movement adopted is the Lange manufacture calibre L155.1 Datomatic (312 components, 31 jewels, 28,800 vib/h, 50-hour power reserve, platinum oscillating weight, hand-engraved balance bridge), mechanical with automatic winding. In line with Lange's philosophy, all parts of the movement are assembled twice and finished by hand with great expertise. Numerous handcrafted details can be admired through the sapphire glass back. Water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 12 atmospheres.
