The Italian company Ab Aeterno is known for producing watches in a very unusual material for watchmaking: wood. Each watch in the new collection is the result of an intense creative process through which each detail is designed to recreate a harmonious feeling between nature and design, combining the qualities of wood with a new, refined and essential line. The distinctive character of each watch is defined by the wood used to make the case and dial, which are available in two versions: 35 mm and 40 mm in diameter. The types of wood used in past collections - maple, red sandalwood, green sandalwood and amaranth wood - are now joined by two new woods, namely ebony wood, which is precious, elegant and intensely black in colour, and walnut wood, which is robust and has characteristic brown veins. The choice of materials and colours has been designed to create a variety of timepieces that can stylishly enrich both casual and elegant attire. Linear design and quality materials combine in an expected lightness of only 20 grams, making the new Harmony Collection watches very easy to wear. Remaining true to our company's philosophy, which has accompanied the creation of past collections, the new watches are also all Made in Italy and equipped with Swiss movements. In addition, the watches in the Harmony Collection are characterised by the new and innovative flexible wooden strap. The flexible wooden strap represents a true novelty in the watchmaking field: the result of a lasing process, it combines wood with a material that is "cruelty free", i.e. free of animal derivatives, and is an alternative to leather for its softness and adaptability to the wrist. All in line with the company's philosophy of social, environmental and economic sustainability, aimed at offering ethically compatible vegan-friendly solutions. Ultra-flexible yet resistant, the new Ab Aeterno strap evokes the sinuosity of tree branches combined with the robustness of wood. From activities that mark the daily routine to the most elegant evenings, the watches in the Harmony collection will always be an original and versatile complement, thanks to the interchangeability of the straps. It will in fact be possible to replace the flexible wooden strap with another in fabric (available in different colours), allowing the watch to adapt perfectly to the wrist of whoever wears it and to change character as required. Prices range from 145 to 155 euros.
