The Italian brand ALP presents its first model, named ALP-1, and produced in a limited edition of only 100 pieces.
The watch brand ALP (an acronym for 'Audacia Levior quam Pluma' - boldness is lighter than a feather) was born out of the encounter between Francesco Perusi, a young designer and entrepreneur from Verona specialising in innovative materials, and Alessandro Zavaglia, an entrepreneur from Cagliari with solid business experience and a strong propensity for innovative investments.
The first model presented is the ALP 1, a very light watch (total weight is only 27.8 grams) with a 38.8 mm three-piece case made of TSC carbon, ultra-light material. Both the bezel and the case back (equipped with a porthole) are secured to the case middle by means of four screws. The overall thickness of the ALP-1 is 9.5 mm. Both the dial and the case back are fitted with an interior and exterior anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
ALP-1: limited edition of only 100 pieces
The first watch produced by the ALP brand is powered by a Swiss Made automatic mechanical movement.
At the heart of the new ALP-1 is the AM-1s calibre (28,800 vibrations per hour, 3.6 mm thick, 40-hour power reserve, skeletonised rotor), a mechanical self-winding Swiss Made movement developed by Soprod. The movement is visible from both the dial side and the back.
Speaking of the dial, along the outer flange are Arabic numeral and geometric indices (the company logo is at 3 o'clock), while the hands are skeletonised and luminescent.
With guaranteed water resistance to a depth of 45 metres, the new ALP-1 is combined with a black strap made of Alcantara and Nylite (stretch nylon).
