Alpina - AlpinerX Smart Outdoors Freeride World Tour Special Edition

Last November, Alpina reconfirmed its partnership with the Freeride World Tour 2021 for the fourth consecutive year. Alpina and the Freeride World Tour have been working together since 2018, thanks to a commonality of values, to support freerider athletes. As an official partner of the Freeride World Tour, the Maison also offers direct support to three athletes, namely France's Juliette Willmann and Victor De Le Rue, as well as Italy's Markus Eder. The 2021 calendar kicked off in Andorra from 19 to 26 February, before moving on to Fieberbrunn in Austria and Verbier in Switzerland. Alpina celebrates the renewal of this important collaboration with the launch of a special edition of the AlpinerX Smart Outdoors, produced in a limited edition of only 40 pieces. Ever more faithful to the freeride universe and its eco-responsible values, the watch comes with an additional strap made of recycled plastic from the Alpina advertising banners displayed at the entrance of the Verbier resort on the occasion of the 2020 Freeride World Tour, where the last round of the circuit traditionally takes place and which is home to one of the world's toughest routes, the Bec des Rosses. From the Alpina advertising banner, 40 straps have been made to underline the link between this limited edition and freeriding. The timepiece is distinguished by the Freeride World Tour logo at 2 o'clock and a black dial with a matt finish, on which luminescent red hands are set with silver-plated indexes. With a red rubber strap, this model uses a 45 mm navy blue fibreglass case with a bidirectional rotating bezel. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, the watch uses the complementary and dedicated AlpinerX app, available for iPhone or Android, which also has a GPS function that can track heart rate, measure altitude and pressure and send real-time data to maximise performance. Water-resistant to 10 atmospheres, it is powered by a quartz movement. Price: 895 euros.
