Not betraying its aeronautical-military vocation, the new B-42 Stratoliner Black & White Chronograph from the Fortiswhich will be unveiled at the traditional Basel Salon. The signs are all there: starting from the presence of contrasting counters on the dial, the 30-minute one at 12 o'clock and the 12-hour one at 6 o'clock, to the polished steel finish of the push-buttons and back. Definitely robust then is the structure of the watch, with a screw-down crown and back and a water-resistance rating of up to 20 atmospheres. The case, 42 millimetres in diameter and made of three-part brushed and polished steel, houses a self-winding mechanical movement derived from the ETA-Valjoux 7750, which can be admired through the sapphire glass porthole in the case back. There are two versions in the photo: with a steel bracelet or with a beautiful white rubber strap, both closed by a folding clasp.
