TAG Heuer Previews

Anteprime TAG Heuer

In search of the best performance: this is the goal that drives TAG Heuer in the production of its models, such as those that will be officially presented at the 2008 edition of BaselWorld. These include the Carrera Calibre 1 Vintage and the Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS2, both in limited editions of 6,000 pieces (200 in Italy) and 1,000 pieces (50 in Italy) respectively. The former houses a hand-wound mechanical movement historically used in pocket watches from the 1960s. The steel case, 43 millimetres in diameter, houses a black dial combined with a crocodile or rubber strap in the same colour. Also black is the second TAG Heuer model, with a case in grade 2 titanium (Ti2), a pure metal three times stronger than steel but weighing less than half as much. The dial, with hand-applied black gold hour markers, houses a continuous seconds display at 3 o'clock and a chronograph minute display at 9 o'clock. It is completed by a matte black crocodile strap covered with a "soft touch" polymer film. The movement is mechanical with automatic winding.
