For the Chinese, it is definitely 8, and so it is that on the occasion of the 188 days until the start of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, on 2 February, the Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph Limited Edition, the third model in the Beijing Olympic Collection by Omegainspired by the number 8. Available in steel and steel and red gold versions, both limited to 2008 pieces, the Swiss watchmaker's new timepiece features an elegant black dial on which three counters make their appearance: the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, the 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, together with the date indicator, and the continuous seconds counter at 9 o'clock. On the counterweight of the chronograph seconds hand are the five coloured rings symbolising Omega's role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games. The polished steel caseback is engraved with the Games logo and the limited edition number. Inside the watch beats the Omega calibre 3301 automatic chronograph movement, characterised by a free-sprung balance without a racket to ensure regularity over long periods. Water resistance is guaranteed to a depth of 150 metres.
