With the spectacular Centigraphe Souverain, F.P. Journe wins the Aguille d'Or award at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix for the third time. This chronograph, which measures to one hundredth of a second, is equipped with an in-house mechanical hand-wound movement, Calibre 1506, mounted on 49 jewels and finely decorated. The platinum case, with a "slide" between 2 and 3 to start and stop the instrument, houses a dial surrounded by a large stepped bezel and traversed by baton hands, black Arabic numeral hour markers and a "chemin de fer" minute track on the flange. On each counter (hundredths of a second at 10 o'clock, twentieths of a second at 2 o'clock, chrono minutes at 6 o'clock) is the respective tachymeter scale, which starts at the science-fictional 360,000 km/h and arrives at the more human speed of 6 km/h. Prices: 41,520 euros (for the platinum case version); 37,800 euros (for the rose gold version). For further information: Corvo&C spa, tel. 02/85.97.981.
