Blancpain revisits the Villeret Ultraplate

The new version, 38 millimetres in diameter, is equipped with a date display and features a white or opaline dial, depending on the material of the case, steel or red gold respectively. The most precious setting is enhanced by diamonds on the bezel and at the hour markers (except for the Roman numerals at the quarters). The hour-markers, even in the case of the model without diamonds, are surmounted by sage-leaf évidé hands indicating the hours and minutes, while a fine hand adorned with the initials of the company's founder, Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, marks off the seconds. This is completed by the date display at 3 o'clock in a window whose proportions have been designed to ensure visual balance and comfort for optimal reading. The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the Blancpain Calibre 1150, equipped with a gold oscillating weight with honeycomb motifs and two serially mounted barrels ensuring a 4-day power reserve. Added to these technical features is the use of a silicon balance spring that guarantees remarkable anti-magnetic and chronometric properties. It is just 3.25 millimetres thick (the total thickness of the case is 8.35 millimetres). Presented on a black alligator strap in the steel version or brown with the red gold version, this timepiece is also available with a refined "mille mailles" strap in steel or gold, respectively.
